Welcome to the team, Alex!

From leading marathon training sessions to assisting on the strategic planning for community BBQs or fundraising campaigns to supporting Ontario Nature’s mandate, Alex Ross’ skillset and enthusiasm were something we couldn’t ignore when he applied for one of our summer internship positions.

So with all that experience at such a young age, we thought we should definitely get to know a bit more about Alex:

What do you love the most about PR?

Every day is different. One day you may be pitching a journalist about a client’s exciting new products and the next day you’ll be developing a communication plan for an upcoming campaign. There is truly never a dull moment and every day brings new learning opportunities.

What do you hope to learn over your internship?

I hope to be able to hone and develop the skills I learned in Centennial’s Corporate Communications and Public Relations program. KLC’s diverse client list will provide me the opportunity to learn and work with a plethora of industries, helping me bolster my skillset as a PR professional.

What do you love the most about Toronto?

The diversity of the neighbourhoods, from the Rouge to High Park, there are endless opportunities to discover a new restaurant, bar and more importantly to me: a new favourite running route!

What does your ideal Saturday look like?

My ideal Saturday starts with waking up without an alarm, allowing myself to recharge. During the day I would be able to get a long run in with some friends, hopefully ending at one of the many craft breweries in the city. Ideally, I would be able to escape the city over the weekend and head up north to relax by a lake.

Alex quickly hit the ground running at KLC too. We’re thrilled he’s one of the newest additions to our team and look forward to supporting his professional growth in the communications and public relations field.
