Добро пожаловать! (Welcome), Kristina

We’re excited to welcome Kristina Gumennaya to our Toronto team, as one of our Winter interns. Originally from Kazakhstan, Kristina has lived and studied in the United Kingdom and Spain, and now we have the pleasure of adding a new member to our already very international team.

Not surprisingly, Toronto’s diversity is something Kristina likes about our city, but what does she think about public relations?

What do you love the most about communications?

I love how relevant PR is nowadays and how it can be applied in so many different ways. One PR mistake can make or break a company. It makes it very exciting to work on different projects and help shape a company’s brand and reputation.

Tell us about the moment you decided you wanted to be in PR

I decided I wanted to be part of shaping brands’ public image after witnessing a few interesting and controversial marketing campaigns, such as Kendall Jenner’s campaign with Pepsi.  I decided I wanted to help the public better understand brand stories!

What are you looking forward to in your new role at KLC?

I look forward to learning more about the different aspects of PR and applying the skills I acquired during my postgraduate studies in PR at Seneca College. I’m also excited to learn from the team and get to know KLC’s clients.

What might people be surprised to learn about you?

I write blogs about my travels, life and anything else I find interesting.

We’re happy that Kristina decided to move west to Canada and that she is here to share her passion for PR with us!
